Hi, I am Lukas

I work as a project manager, a parent, and an expat based in Berlin, Germany.

A few years back, my family and I moved here.

What began as a short-term assignment gradually opened a new chapter abroad.

How It Started

Moving to Germany wasn’t in our long-term plan. Like many international relocations, it began with a job opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.

The initial months were demanding — adapting to new systems, new routines, and new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complex than they should have.

The Adjustment Period

There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet, gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt stable.

Why I Built CloudGroveBridge

Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or surface tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.

This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Germany.

What This Website Is (And Isn't)

This site is:

  • Hands-on experience from living in Germany
  • Centered on family life and everyday realities
  • Updated whenever something truly changes

This site isn't:

  • A resource from a tourism authority
  • A platform for sponsored reviews
  • An ordinary travel blog

Future outlook

Our time in Germany goes on, along with the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep recording what we find.

If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Best regards,

Lukas
